Wake up. Maybe workout. Go to work … or shuffle to the home office. Sit. Screens. Eat. Sit. Scroll. Screens. Binge watch. Sleep. Repeat.
Days blur. Goals fade. Potential dims. Lost opportunities for conversation.
Is this a snapshot of our lives?
If so, we need to take a cold plunge.

Exchange hours of scrolling social media to focus on your goals – and commit to moving more each day – for your body and brain.
1. Physical Growth: Prioritize Exercise & More Movement.
- Aim for 30 -45 minutes of daily heart-brain pumping exercise.
- Get up and move more throughout the day and evening
- Strength train & stretch 2x/week minimum. You have to lift weights if you are able. Weight lifting is crucial for longevity, bone health, mobility, joint support, brain stimulation, and counteracting forward shoulders and tech neck.
- Stretch after your cardio and strength sessions to stay flexible.
2. Mental Growth: Embrace Life Beyond the Screen
- Reduce screen time, social scrolling, late night binge watching
- Get to bed earlier
- Get outdoors in the am
- Reconnect with family, friends and neighbors

- Stay laser focused on your goal.
- Pursue your dream -why wait any longer? Do it now, before it’s too late.
That is what someone once said to me.
This encouraged me to get off by booty and write a book about my grandfather (Old Breed General). It took some serious time, but with laser focus it was published in 2022. So thankful I took action.
The Bottom Line
Life is flying by and could change overnight. There is so much to offer beyond our many screens that steal attention from our life, relationships, and business.
Go the extra mile, starting today! Stop the atrophy of your body, brain and goals. Your future self will thank you. Promise.
