Do you wear sunglasses when you run?
You should.
Here is why you should wear sunglasses outdoors.
At my annual eye check-up, my eye doctor told me I had some sun damage on my eyes.
Yes, all those years of running, walking, enjoying the outdoors, or watching kids’ sports can damage your eyes if you don’t consistently wear sunglasses.

Looking back, have I been consistent in my 20s to now?
The only time I laser focused on sunglasses was if I was on water at the lake or beach. People close to me used to make fun of me if I said I needed darker glasses or the wraps they wore in Southern California. Well, when you have light blue eyes, it matters. The reflection is intense.
Do you know what else my eye doctor told me?
“Wear sunglasses AND a hat to protect your eyes.
Not only when it’s sunny, but when it is windy.”
Who knew wind could hurt your eyes?
Yep.
The good news???
While he said I can’t zap off the damage, he said I can prevent it from getting worse. The key is to wear sunglasses and a hat when I am outdoors in the sun and wind (from now on).
I see so many runners and walkers not wearing sunglasses or hats.
Wearing glasses while running can be tricky. They slip, slide, or fog up.
But not all! You can get polarized glasses from $20-$200+.
There are some very stylish sunglasses you can wear.
Trust me, this is a step in preventing damage to your beautiful eyes and sun damage to your face.
Don’t be embarrassed if you wear large dark glasses or wraps. You are being smart!
I like the cheap ones on Amazon as well as Natives, Oakley’s and Electrics.
Native has some reasonable glasses that look cool:

While I wanted the GoodRs to work, they fogged up on me.
Join me in wearing sunglasses and hats when we are outdoors. I promise, you won’t regret it.
Let’s #Getoutdoors and be smart!
**I am not getting commissions on these glasses.
